The city of Essen also offers you sustainable transportation when there is a little more to transport. 12 e-cargo bikes are available at 12 stations.
How it works
Each city cargo bike is assigned a home station where it can be rented and returned.
RENTAL
Rent a cargo bike at one of 12 stations in Essen. Scan the QR code on the bike with the nextbike app and the frame lock will open automatically.
PARKING MODE
Do you want to park your bike during a rental? First activate the park mode in the app and then press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike.
RETURN
Return the cargo bike to its home station and press down the small lever on the frame lock. We charge a service fee of €20 for returns outside of the designated locations.
